My real belief!

Christ was Jewish, Christianity is reformed Judaism, Islam is reformed Christianity/Judaism Religion is basically a form of collective hysteria and ideology where people blame a single deity (point of focus) for everything. Basically, God was created by man. BTW, Satan is by far the coolest by-product. Christ would have looked more like Yasser Arafat than Anthony Powell. Matthew's gospel states that Judas (don't get me started on him) had to point Christ out to the Romans - not very likely if Christ was a WASP (White Anglo Saxon Protestant - as all Americans know he is - according to them he also spoke English and was 6 feet tall, not a short-arsed Palestinian peasant). Also, why is there a grave in India stating to be Christ's last resting-place? The legend of the short-arsed Palestinian peasant with views spread to India and there are many stories supporting this. Resurrection then flight into Heaven? Aye, right. He was cut down when still alive then travelled (once recovered) to the east to spread the word of peace. He was a short-arsed Palestinian peasant with good ideas idolised by by a collection of peasant fishermen at a time when Judea was screaming out for a figurehead to concentrate their hopes on (Messsiah) against an occupying force. He went into the desert for 40 days and 'battled the devil'. Well, if you spend 40 days without food and minimal water, wouldn't you be tripping too? I'd be fighting Megatron, Micky Mouse and Barney! Religion is an excuse for people to gain power and ensnare a community's hearts and minds with ridiculous stories with flimsy evidence of a single all-powerful being that not only created them, but also controls them. Evolution not only involves natural selection and mutation, it also involves religion - look at Scientology. The problem is, "Does God exist?" In actuality, it depends on who you ask. Scientific evidence suggests that, no, there is no deity that created everything. But, what was there before the Big Bang? The creationists state that dinosaur fossils are there as the result of The Flood, where the undesired animals were buried under layers of sediment. The legend of the flood was based on the Persian king Gilgamesh and his exploration of the Mediterranean! The creationist point of view is that the world (...) was created almost 6000 years ago. If that's the case, then physics is a false science. If that's the case, then electricity doesn't exist, we don't have gravity and there is no friction (try telling that to a fundaMENTALIST Christian Minister when he's buggering another male prostitute). Ok, another point, well another two... 1. Mitochondrial DNA 2. Mitochondria Ok, the answers? God is a human-made anthropomorphisation excuse for things that couldn't be explained. Abraham defined the tenets of a monotheistic religion, probably as an excuse for the attempted murder of his son. The idea of being unclean was very relevant at the time. Pork as a raw meat perishes very quickly and may have always been rotten. Leviticus is a statement of law (now called Canonical Law) that is used as a basis of statutes used in international law. I hope this may settle any argument.

Well well well - Christanity and Islam

The Qur'an states Jesus is the Messiah,[Qur'an 3:45] and Muslims believe Jesus is alive in Heaven and will return to Earth to defeat the Dajjal, or Antichrist.[citation needed]

A hadith in Abu Dawud (Sunnan Abu Dawud 37:4310) says:

"Narrated Abu Hurayrah: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus (peace be upon him). He will descend (to the earth). When you see him, recognise him: a man of medium height, reddish hair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. God will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die. The Muslims will pray behind him."

Shia Muslims believe al-Mahdi will arrive first, and after him, Jesus. Jesus will proclaim that the true leader is al-Mahdi. A war, literally Jihad (Jihade Asghar) will be fought - the Dajjal (evil) against al-Mahdi and Jesus (good). This war will mark the approach of the coming of the Last Day. After Jesus slays al-Dajjāl at the Gate of Lud, Muslims believe he will marry, die, and be buried in the Masjid al Nabawi. During his life, he will have revealed that Islam is the last word of God.[citation needed]

A hadith in Sahih Bukhari (4:55:658) says:

"How will you be when the son of Mary descends amongst you and your Imam is from amongst you."

A very few scholars outside of Orthodox Islam reject all the quotes (Hadith) attributed to Muhammad that mention the second return of Jesus, the Dajjal and Imam Mahdi, believing that they have no Qur'anic basis. These scholars believe that the verb mutawwafika in verse [Qur'an 3:55] implies that God caused the bodily death of Jesus, thus (3:55) should read as "O Jesus, I terminate your life, raise you to Me." Others disagree with the implication of termination of Jesus’ life (for example Yusuf Ali’s translation reads: “O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself”). Verses [Qur'an 4:157] imply that Jesus was not killed physically but it appeared as such in some other sense; Verse [Qur'an 19:33] implies that Jesus will die someday. The vast majority of Muslims, and the unified opinion of Orthodox Islam since Islam's coming, maintain that the bodily death of Jesus will happen after his second coming.[citation needed]

Many classical commentators such as Ibn Kathir, At-Tabari, al-Qurtubi, Suyuti, al-Undlusi (Bahr al-Muhit), Abu al-Fadl al-Alusi (Ruh al-Maani) clearly mention that verse [Qur'an 43:61] of the Qur'an refers to the descent of Jesus before the Day of Resurrection, indicating that Jesus would be the Sign that the Hour is close.

"And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour)..." ([Qur'an 43:61]

Those that reject the second coming of Jesus argue that the knowledge of the Hour is only with God, and that the Hour will come suddenly. They maintain that if the second coming of Jesus were true, whenever it happens, billions of people would then be certain the Hour is about to come. The response given to this is that signs that the Last Hour is near have been foretold and given, including that of the second coming of Jesus, as signs indicating the Last Hour is near. They will not clarify when it is to come in any specific sense, and hence do not reveal it.[citation needed]

Ahmadiyya

The Ahmadiyya faith, believes that the terms "Messiah" and "Mahdi" (Messiah of Islam) are synonymous terms for one and the same person. Like the term Messiah which, among other meanings, in essence means being anointed by God or appointed by God the term "Mahdi" means guided by God, thus both imply a direct ordainment and a spiritual nurturing by God of a divinely chosen individual. According to Ahmadiyya thought, Messiahship is a phenomenon, through which a special emphasis is given on the transformation of a people by way of offering suffering for the sake of God instead of giving suffering (i.e. refraining from revenge). Ahmadis believe that this special emphasis was given through the person of Jesus and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad [15] among others.

Ahmadis hold that the prophesied eschatological figures of various religions, the coming of the Messiah and Mahdi in fact were to be fulfilled in one person who was to represent all previous prophets.[16]The prophecies concerning the Mahdi or the second coming of Jesus are seen by Ahmadis as metaphorical, in that one was to be born and rise within the dispensation of Muhammad, who by virtue of his similarity and affinity with Jesus of Nazareth, and the similarity in nature, temperament and disposition of the people of Jesus' time and the people of the time of the promised one (the Mahdi) is called by the same name.

Numerous Hadith are presented by the Ahmadis in support of their view such as one from Sunan Ibn Majah which says:

"There is No Mahdi but Jesus son of Mary" (Ibn Majah, Bab, Shahadatu-Zaman)

Ahmadis believe that the prophecies concerning the Mahdi have been fulfilled in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (1835-1908) the founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement. Contrary to mainstream Islam the Ahmadis do not believe that Jesus is alive in heaven, but that he survived the crucifixion and migrated towards the east where he died a natural death and that Ghulam Ahmad was only the promised spiritual second coming and likeness of Jesus, the promised Messiah and Mahdi.

Please Help!

The red uakari (Cacajao calvus ucayalii), also known as the 'bald uakari' or 'uacari', is a rare Amazonian monkey. It is threatened by hunting, logging and habitat disturbance. This project, in the rainforests of Peru, aims to investigate and help conserve this striking primate.

This research, by Mark Bowler (Durrell Institute of Conservation & Ecology at the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK) has been funded at various times by the Rufford Foundation, Primate Consevation Incorporated, Conservation International, Los Angeles Zoo & Wildlife Conservation Society.

A Certain Recently Deceased Reality Star...

Why has a racist, classist, proudly illiterately promiscuous example of the worst of British culture become a saint? This person showed so much venom in their racist abuse that when they appeared on a popular reality programme, the channel cut the more racist comments. We will never see them as the channel hopes to remain popular! This person would've been thrown out of the reality series immediately if the regular rules of the programme were followed! I have been disgusted at the popularity that this racist, ugly piece of crap had gained when it told the world, via its publicist, what it had. This horrific 'human' has two children who will eventually follow the same path and will be exploited by their grandmother and step-father. I refuse to mention a name nor gender! I am sick of the hypocrisy of the tabloid media. At one time they loved this person, then hated them, felt sympathy, then compared them to a "[generic] of hearts"! I mean, ffs!
